Aerys Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 DFA spammer. DFA spammer comes after me. I avoid his lame attacks, and right when he hits the ground I run up behind his unprotected back and take a swing. And die. He's obviously done a backward attack. Why am *I* dead and he isn't? I run right up behind his crouching, unprotected backside and swing at him and suddently *I* am the one that's dead? WTF?
Vorax Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 Get the patch, that's a bug that has been fixed. If you have the patch, then you must be jumping on him to soon or to late. - Vorax
Aerys Posted May 14, 2002 Author Posted May 14, 2002 I have the patch, and it was my own server this happened on so it wasn't lag. The problem is its happened more than once, and I'm just trying to figure out WHY.
Crybos Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 Hmm, thats never happend to me on the new patch. Aerys, read you PMs.
ThingAhMajig Posted May 15, 2002 Posted May 15, 2002 That was me... I back stabbed you right after the DFA. Joking... are you sure it wasnt a backstab right after the DFA? I do it when I see ppl rushing for my backside...
JediGhost[SITH] Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 See my thread titled "I Hit Him In The Back..."
Arrghman Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 unrelated situation... in your case, your blow was actually deflected, in this case it sounds like he was killed before he actually made contact with his blade...
Stargazer Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 I happens to me too sometimes, can't figure out what's wrong in my movies. He runs towards me, i strafe\turn around\swing at his back and i'm dead, whitch it's rather irritating
JediGhost[SITH] Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 The situations are very much related. We both got scammed our kills by unknown (and impossible) reasons.
Dogma Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 maybe the guy made a sidekick? my mate is sometimes able to do a sidekick after a dfa, although i'm comming from behind (sounds gay )
