jibe
1) How do I open an .md3 file in 3dsmax? 2) How do I convert a .glm file so I can edit it in 3dsmax? Thanks!
Madjai
well, for 2 you cant, its not possible yet. for 1... there is an importer for gmax thats supposed to work with 3ds 4.2 as well. I tried it but i kept getting this error so i just used milkshape 3d to import the md3 and then export it as something 3dsmax can import.
jibe
I'm trying to convert a q3 model into something usable by jk2.. I was told I have to import the kyle skeleton into 3dsmax, how do I go about doing that?
Madjai
get the jedi knight tools, you should be able to find them on jediknightii.net. when you extract the files there will be a folder called something like 3dsmax tools, inside is a XSI Importer, put that file under plugins for 3dsmax. also with the tools is 2 .xsi files, one of kyle and one of a stormtrooper, open them and check out how it all works. good night and good luck! sithlord-II
if you have 3d studio 3 you can import md3 files via the importer available at http://www.polycount.com go into their resources/tools section for quake 3. the file needs to go into your 3dsmax/plugins/ folder then you can import/export md3 files you cannot convert glm. Omega2k1
why can't you convert .glm? Is it because there's not a plugin available yet or its just not possible?
malinkie
Theres just no plugin for it yet but people have been hearing rumors... Just wait and see eh?

VEGETA2K1
A tag is a named poly, select a poly on your model or create a new one and name it to what its supposed to be (i dont knwo names of tags but view kyle model and find out.
