Olin Valden
Where can I download a wad of brushes for JK2?
RichDiesal
I'd like to the first to say that this question makes absolutely no sense in any way. Do you mean prefabs? Textures maybe? Shaders?
Olin Valden
Umm Yeah, Textures and prefabs turn into brushes so if that what u want yes. I need to find the JK2.wad file if there is one for the Textures.
volrathxp
you must be confused. JK2 uses pk3 files for everything, not wad files. The textures are located in assets0.pk3 (just copy it somewhere, rename it to zip and extract it) but radiant also uses the pk3 file for textures, it has the capability to pull the textures straight from the pk3. Prefabs are available for JK2 at http://www.jedioutcastmaps.com/. They only have like 5 or 6 though. I'm workin on one or two more to send over to those guys (you hear me DannyJ i gots some more comins for yas! ) but since GTKRadiant can handle pfb (prefab files) you can go get Quake 3 prefabs and use those too. I hope I helped you out a bit. volrath

Olin Valden
Well I didn't know that, I'm still used to Worldcraft (Great mapping program) Using Wads. To many mapping confusing. I Do have a question to the developers of this game WHY the hell did u use the Q3 engine, More people hate it then any other engine. Because its' The simplest to use? Caster Troy
I personally think the Q3 engine is the best yet. HL was great for it's time, but it's a bit outdated, and just isn't as nice. Q3 has much better graphics... What engine do you suggest they use? Original Doom?
Olin Valden
Hey Doom is uber!!!!!! Half-life is a little outdated, But Graphics isn't everything on an Engine about 90% but not all, If you want Graphics UT. Thats better. Can't wait for Half-life
RichDiesal
Eh, UT's graphics are cleaner looking maybe, but I think animation of rendered objects is smoother in the Q3 engine... it seems more robust than UT in that regard.
voidmind
FYI, Half-Life uses a modified/emhanced Quake 2 engine.
