Single Player Fine, Multiplayer Problem

My single player works fine so i dont think its my computer.

 

When i try to run multiplayer it starts up with the lucasarts logo which lags across the screen.

 

I press escape and then it goes into the menu which also lags. It is very slow and uncontollable. I have never had the patience to try and get into a game.

i have found that multiplayer works perfect if i have disabled my

network.

 

But goes slow when i am connected to it.

 

I can therefore play skirmish provided i am not connected to network but

cant play over the network with others?

 

So it is something to do with the network.
