Brandon Real
Hello. Well, as I've been reading the forums I've noticed alot of people talk about the saber manuevers themselves. However this topic is asking about when and where exactly to use them. For those who know, I'm wondering when it would be a good idea to strike. For instance, wait for them to swing, then swing your saber into their exposed side. Or a lunge when they're landing a jump. I'm wondering what moves you've found most effective and when. Xzzy
if I don't have a specific attack in mind I generally try to start one of the strafe attacks as they approach me, sneak around their sabre, then push my own attacking sabre into them as I strafe by. Doesn't work too well for getting kills but it's reasonably safe in avoiding opening defense holes and it can give you a bit of a hitpoint advantage. Otherwise I'll force pull or kick 'em to try and force their defenses down so I can get a good chop in. If they're spinning madly in blue stance I'll stand back until they get close enough to knock down, and yet again, chop at em. if I see someone leap for me I'll try to force push because if a DFA is incoming I don't want em anywhere near me. This can sometimes stagger them, opening a chance to get a hit in. Yellow finisher is great to use against a backstabber because it seems to be the most survivable. Only make use of it when escape isn't an option though.
TexRoadkill
I have found the Blue Lunge to the left side to be effective against foe's recovering from a DFA or Yellow Jump Attack. I like to use the heavy blows to keep those pesky ass fighters from getting too close. The yellow jump attack is also great against guys who get too close. As they try to roll up on you to get in position do the jump attack and slice them up. Just be sure to rotate your saber towards them as you recover. This will help defend against any sudden counter-attacks.
