Newbie mapping question: Skies

Hey all,

 

I've been trying out the GTKRadiant 1.2.8-jk2. How do I create a realistic looking sky? Whenever I apply a sky texture to the ceiling, all I see are tiled copies of that texture when I start up the level.

push "s", while you have the skybox/brush/object selected and enter this into the texture line:

 

skies/yavin

 

skies/kejim (?)

 

skies/bespin

 

skies/stars

 

They appear as blue/black textures, but they appear as sky in the game.

 

(It works, if the console reads something like this:

\"skies/stars" not found, replacing with generic "skies/stars")
