Obiwan80 Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 How can Obiwan beat Anakin in Episode III, when he seems to be allways in trouble ( loses to bountyhunter in Episode II). I allways though Obiwan was one of the best jedis around, but it doesn´t look like it. Well least episode II was much better than episode I.
RobKerwin Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 It takes more than the force and a lightsaber to beat THE MAN, Jango Fett
Lord_FinnSon Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 It takes more than the force and a lightsaber to beat THE MAN, Jango Fett Yeah, it takes Mace Windu . Actually, Obi-Wan was quite deadly even without his lightsaber; he kicked Fett few times when they were in one-on-one combat. I seriously must see the movie again!

Yeah to bad jango gets his head chopped off too!!! that really surprised me
CupO'Coffee Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 also it is one thing to fight a akimbo blaster wielding, jetpack having, rocket throwning bount hunter, but fighting a jedi, with the weapons of a jedi (and without rain) is another thing. also you must keep in mind that it was obi wan who showed anakin how to fight, thus he knows the skills and tricks better

Skidrowpunk Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 Dang, thanks, i guess i was so excited about seeing the movie i got all worked up!
Jedi Marso Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 Not really a spoiler but for those being extra cautious...POSSIBLE SPOILER. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I enjoy the way McGregor is playing Obi-wan in the new movie. He displays the wry humor we've come to expect, he smiles a lot, and you can see that he genuinely cares about Anakin despite his misgivings. There's a lot of that 'boyish twinkle' in his eye that Lucas wrote about in the original Star Wars novelization. Obi-wan is becoming one of the best characters of the series.
