I make a brush off misc_model and select for example an xwing and I cant seem to rotate the model to custom place my models. Please any help would be appriciated. Eagle_e7
Hi Try pressing N to go into the entities properties, You should see some buttons that go like this 135.....90.......45 180..............360 225.....270.....315 Try selecting the model then pressing N then click on one of those buttons in the direction you want it to face. That should work:D

chrustec
Oh yeah and sorry to be a pain is there a way to "free" rotate the model instead of the EXACT angles? and can you "tilt" models say for example if i wanted to do an xwing crashed into a swamp for example ala ESB style? Eagle_e7
No problem:D If you need more precision then after you have used that to move the model press N to go into the properties again. You should see a key called angle, simply change the number value and that should give you more precision.

RichDiesal
Um.. you mean using the Free Rotation button on the toolbar? It's directly to the right of the Clipper tool.
chrustec
I tried that and it did nothing. said it was side stretching and draging selection but did nothing to the model of the xwing in the veiw port:confused:
RichDiesal
You need to highlight a brush first, then click free rotation... it should put you in free rotation mode immediately. Er... if you mean a misc_model, there is no way to free rotate it, as rotation of the bounding box doesn't actually rotate the model itself... you hafta do it in its key/values.
