Stuck in a hole

I' m a applealing to true jedi out there to please help me out !

I'm stuck in the Level I believe is Kejim , you now the one with the mine , where the babe leaves you to your dirty work . I've got through the tricky mine cart bit killed everthing and released the prisoners but now have nowhere to go but a dirty mean virtical vetilation shaft , where i'm on about 100 hlth and 50 sld . I try jump down the ledges but at about the forth drop I always die .For the goodness of the universe please help me.

in the same area where you hit the button to realease the colonists there is another button to turn a fan on to the shaft to ease your decent.
