[*TK*]Mr.Kill
I figured out all the saber moves and stuff so for any n00bs out there here is something for you(its a bit long!): There are 3 light saber stances in JK2 (these are unlocked in the single player game as you progress or are available in multiplayer). You can switch between any of these stances at any time by pressing (by default) the L key. You're stance is indicated by the coloured arc in your light saber meter. The stances are : Fast Stance Like the name indicates, this style is fast! In single player it's very effective against large groups of enemies having the advantage that you can chain together 'combo' attacks indefinitely. It also seems to provide the best defense against laser type weapons as it can deflect them very quickly. However its low damage makes it less effective when used in multiplayer games as it requires you to land many blows on an opponent. In this type of scenario its best used for finishing an opponent that you know is already low on health. Medium Stance This is the first stance you encounter in the single player game, and it provides a good compromise between damage and agility. Like the light stance you can chain attacks together, however these are much more limited, with five being the maximum possible. The advantage of this stance is that it does a fair bit more damage than the Fast stance whilst still being highly maneuverable. Strong Stance This stance delivers the most powerful blows and can deliver devestating long-range attacks. However, this power does come at a price in that these long swings are very slow leaving you open to counter attacks. Notorious in multiplayer for it's ublockable 'death from above' move that usually kills a hapless opponent in one hit! Light Saber Combat Moves (Note some moves are only available for one particular stance and Primary means by default left-mouse button) : Forward Top-Down Hack - Forward + Primary - Backward + Primary Horizontal Swipe Attack - Strafe Left + Primary - Strafe Right + Primary Diagonal Slash Down - Forward + Strafe Left + Primary - Forward + Strafe Right + Primary Diagonal Slash Up - Backward + Strafe Left + Primary - Backward + Strafe Right + Primary Stab Backwards If any enemy is located behind you, you can use the following to stab backwards : - Backward + Primary Forward Lunge If you are crouching and using the Fast (blue) stance, a lunge can be done with : - Forward + Primary while crouched Flip Forward & Attack Downward If an enemy is directly in front of you and you are using the Medium (yellow) stance, this powerful move can be used to deliver a nasty blow : - Forward + Primary + Jump Forward Jump & Downward Hack If you are standing in the ready position and you are using Strong (red) stance, an unblockable and very powerful finishing move can be carried out with: - Forward + Primary + Jump from standing position - Jump + Primary while in air + Jump Forward Jump Kicks With level 2 or 3 just run up to someone and right when you are just touching the person Jump - it will do a kick and knock the person down, does 20 points to health, but doesnt hurt shields. You can also do a strafe kick in a similair fashion, by strafing into someone from the side. Combat Acrobatics and Evasive Moves Command: Forward or Backward or Strafe Right or Strafe Left + Crouch Conditions: Must be running or landing from a jump. Move Type: Roll Description: You will roll in the direction you have pressed. Rolling from a jump may help absorb some of the impact damage. Be careful, though, because once you enter a roll, your momentum will carry you forward until the roll stops. You can still turn while rolling so you can use it to outflank an enemy or avoid rolling off a cliff. You may not attack during a roll. Command: Forward + Jump x 2 (Press Jump once to jump and again to flip) Conditions: Must be running towards a wall and have at least Force Jump level 2 Move Type: Back-flip off wall Description: You will take a couple steps up the wall in front of you and flip backwards away from the wall. You may end up behind a pursuer, leaving him open for an attack. Command: Strafe–Left/Right + Jump Conditions: Standing still with a wall to your left or right, must have at least Force Jump level 2 Move Type: Right or Left-Flip off wall (respectively) Description: You will take a couple steps up the wall to your left or right (depending where the wall is) then flip toward the opposite direction off the wall. Command: Strafe-Left/Right + Forward + Jump Conditions: Running with a wall to your left, must have at least Force Jump level 2 Move Type: Wall-run on a wall. Description: You will rise up off the ground and run along the wall for a short time. If you hit the jump button again in the middle of this move, you will flip off the wall. Light Saber Blocking & Locking When two opponents lock their lightsabers, you must push your opponent away from you by repeatedly pressing the attack button (left mouse button). If by chance you do get knocked down, press jump to get up faster or roll away. You can block an opponents lightsaber attack only when you are in the ready position or defensive position. If your attack is weak and your opponent is strong, a parry is possible. The defender knocks down your lightsaber and it will take a while to recover. You can also use the light saber to deflect laser shots - the light (blue) stance is most effective for this. If you need to block projectile weapons, use force push.
