Yaten
I'm sure everyone saw them in Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's Office... Still they are left a mysterious group, who seemingly just stand around, and yet you pretty much know you don't want to mess with them... I wonder if they'll do anything in Episode III, or if they'll be left in mystery. While I think its good that they're mysterious, I can't really say I don't want to see them doing some butt kicking. Frizbee
Seeing as how this is related, I'll post in this thread. I was watching episode one again the other day.. and at the very end of the Movie, When Chancellor Palpatine steps from his ship during the victory celebrations, the guards that escort him are in the same uniforms that the Imperial Guard wear in Episode 6. The Only Differences: The uniforms are green, not Red, and the helmets have big feather plumes at the back. Now, to those who were bringing up the fact that the Clone trooper helmets looked like the Storm trooper helmets.. what do you think of this? Their uniforms were blue, not green... and you could also see the person's face. The anonymity of the Red Guards show that Palpatine is moving toward a closed government, one where impersonal fear rules.

This is actually reflecting Palpatines increased control over the senate. The Blue Guards from the first movie are senate controlle, and use nonleathal weapons to defend themselves. The new red guards are using deadlier weapons, and are under Palpatines control, not the Senates. This is part of his transition from Chancellor to Emperor. Frumpus
I was surprised to see the Royal Guards in Ep2 - though I thought they rocked! I'd like to see them in action too, though I don't need that to know that they can kick butt.
Kyle d'Tana
I think they'll left in mystery, cause in epVI they are in the second death star and don't do anything.....

When Palpatine is also wearing green.... you can no longer see the guards faces due to the helmet. Unless I'm loosing my mind... *Moves off to watch the movie again*
