Guest King Andrei
I got a problem with MI1. I have Windows '98 and each time I try playing the game under Windows it just gives me this message: "You cannot run the graphics application in a window. The application will be suspended until you switch it to full screen by pressing Alt-Enter. Check the Properties to insure they are correct." Okay, first of all I tried pressing Alt-Enter. Secondly, I changed the Properties to "Full Screen". I right-clicked on Properties of "Monkey.exe", I clicked on "Screen" and switched to "Full-Screen" at the "Usage" and it still doesn't work. The only way MI1 works for me is if I: 1. Restart my computer. 2. Click F8 before Windows logs. 3. Switch to "Command Prompt only". This stinks, can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Grannen
Let’s hope that this can help you. Right click on monkey.exe and then select “properties”: 1 Under Program and MSDOS icon write MONKEY. 2. Command line “monkey.exe” 3. Leave next two lines blank. 4. Short command “None” 5. Uncheck the box and click on “Advanced..” 6. Check the box “Suggest MS-Dos if necessary” 7. Under Fonts select “both” 8. Under Memory select “Auto” on all. 9. Uncheck the box “Protected” and check the box “Use HMA” 10. Under Screen select “Full screen” and “Standard” 11. Check remaining four boxes. Finally: Don’t forget to click on both Apply and OK!
Guest King Andrei
I tried that, but it still doesn't work. Is this about some incompatibility of MS-DOS programs with Windows '98 programs or something?
Kjølen
Probably not, I think it's just DOS fighting with Win98. Maybe an upgrade to a non-DOS supported OS? I'm not sure about this but I heard that Win98 runs on DOS and Win2k doesn't...hmmm? Am I right or not?
