Absath
I gotta ask...I perused the first few pages and found no help, so i need to post a new topic. How do you import .md3's into a map? i would think it to be misc_models and then load up the one you want, but i get an error when i choose the x-wing. i think i remember someone mentioning a method where you dont use the pop-up window to select the model, but rather just type part of the directory structure into the properties window. can anyone tell me the procedure for importing the game's models into a map? thanks in advance. -Abs
DarthSlayne
extract the assets0.pk3 to a place on your HDD then use the popup and find the model you want in there click ok and then delete everything before models/ in the value field it should work, you might have to bsp a few times though cos the thing is a big tempremental
volrathxp
use the misc_model entity correct. make sure the models are in the models directory below base. in jk2r you'll need to open the entity list (hit n) and change the paths down to where the first line in the value is "Models/..." not "C:/Program Files/...." . GTKRadiant doesn't have this problem, only JK2R. And once you get it in, if you intend for the model to be solid then place clip brushes around it. hope i helped. enjoy! volrath
RichDiesal
Personally, all I do is keep the assets pk3 open in WinZIP and reference the filenames/paths to type them into JK2Radiant whenever I need them... JK2 Radiant is supreme. ALL HAIL THE GLORY OF JK2 RADIANT!
