SunBurN Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 First off, everything has be fine (this is a huge map) and now after compiling it and testing it, I get this error when I try to run the game: CM_InlinModel: bad number Does anyone know what that is and how to fix it?? Second problem: I've read bubba's tutorial and a few others, but I'm not having any luck placing Health, ammo or shield power ups?? They don't show up when I run the game. I have no problem placing weapons. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
Omikron Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 For the MedPack, just right click where you want it and select Item-medpack_instant and that should place it and for shields do Item-ShieldLrg or ShildSM and that should place it.
Cmdr. Antilles Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 Sunburn, you're probably using the wrong .def files. Go to file > project settings in Jk2R, and make sure that it is pointing to mp_entities.def Then, shutdown JK2R, restart it, and place your pickups again. Should work.
SunBurN Posted May 19, 2002 Author Posted May 19, 2002 Thanks for both of your responses. Antilles, I'll try that...and Omikron, I tried what you said, but still no luck getting any kind of health, ammo or shields to show up. Is there something in the entity properties (n) that I should be doing?
SunBurN Posted May 19, 2002 Author Posted May 19, 2002 Well I'm thinking since my .def files were set to SP instead of MP, maybe that's why I wasn't able to place the above mentioned items. I'm compiling again now, I'll let you know if this works!
RichDiesal Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 You may need to restart Radiant before you compile... not sure if you'll need to recopy all your brushes too, sometimes Radiant is weird switching between DEFs.
SunBurN Posted May 19, 2002 Author Posted May 19, 2002 Yeah that didn't work, I did restart radiant and recompiled, but same result What do you mean exactly by "recopy my brushes"?
Cmdr. Antilles Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 You don't have to 'recopy' any brushes, but you DO need to delete all your pickups that you placed w/ the SP def files, and put them down again w/ the MP defs.
