Roll glitch?

I just bought this game, and I noticed once I get going about 300 mph, the podracer automatically rolls right. To straighten out, I can hold down the roll left button. If I let go, I'm in "Roll Right" mode. I can't roll left. Ive tried other vehicles, and it does the same. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks

hold the start button and press the left and right or l and r buttons at the same time. you might have accidentally been pressing the roll right button when you pushed the power button on the n64. unless you're playing on the pc...

It's nice to hear people talking about technical problems. By the way, i used to call myself acid, but not on this dicussion board. Then I tried to call myself acidophalus but I mis spelt it so here I am.

hey, i've been playing racer lately (trying to beat it with teemto). It's easier on the n64 in my opinion (the only star wars game i think is better on n64 version despite the graphics)

Podracer? With a JOYSTICK??? ARE YOU NUTS??? I crawl with a joystick. I simply CAN'T constantly hold the stick forward to boost. The keyboard is much easier. (Of course the only reason I have a joystick in the first place is for the X-wing games...)

I just hold down boost (up arrow) and use the left/right arrows to turn, and nose up with the down arrow with my right hand, and use engines, thrust and repair with my left. I don't usually use brakes or slide.

I find the stick extroadinarily awkward.

I also don't use the stick for racer. However, if you want to constantly hold the nose down in boost mode - which I do - you need only re-program the buttons where the pitch down mode is a button instead of a stick motion
