skies texture problems.

does anyone know how to make sky textures so you cant see through them? what i mean is, if i make a box, that is sky texured and place another room behind that box, you can see right through the sky textured box and see the other box behind it....

 

any help is appreciated.

I am not sure what your problem is. Does this happen with all skies or just some of them?

 

 

(on the second thought, just don't place anything behind it :p )

this is why the faq tells you to not put any brushes on the other side of your sky.

 

Unless of course you're prepared to see those brushes, I guess.

It's based on the way the engine created skies... when you place a sky texture, you're actually creating a hole into a virtual GIGANTIC box where six textures are placed (giving the illusion of a sky).

 

Thus, anything you place between the sky texture and your viewpoint will show up regardless of whether or not brushes are inbetween.
