Caerid11 Posted May 21, 2002 Share Posted May 21, 2002 I have an Athlon 1.2 Gig Machine Running off the latest VIA Chipset drivers, a Hercules Prophet 4500 64 Meg video card, a soundblaster live card, 512 MB of RAM, a 30 Gig Seagate Harddrive running with Windows XP Professional. My problem consists of Crashing every 3-5 minutes of gameplay. The game just crashes to my desktop. Also, when it goes back to my desktop, my desktop looks all funky, like the brightness jumped up, then I start the game up and exit the game normally, and my desktop is fixed. And now with the crashing is this damn flickering problem I've seen everyone talk about (spent a few hours rumaging through the forums looking for a fix). The hero, his weapon, items like ammo boxes, and certain walls flicker super quickly. (Only had this flicker crap after installing the new patch.) Has anyone else had this problem?? And if so, what do you do to fix it. I've tried using the lowest possible settings for the game, using compatability modes, and nothing. I get the crashes (and now the flickers) using the highest or the lowest possibly graphics settings. :confused: Please help, and thanks for any advice you can give me.
