Can´t get to last secret!

I just can’t seem to find a way to get to that last secret of the game (the third in Yavin canyon). I now where it is, but I just can’t make the direct jump from the near by platform and I'll slide if I jump to any of the near rocks!

 

Any ideas?...

Well, i never found the secret, but here are some tips to jump farther.

 

First and most obvious is the rocket jump. Aim a rocket at your feet, fire and jump at the same time to get a LARGE boost in your air time.

 

You may want to practice this first.

Note that it will take a chunk of your hitpoints off, but since you will already have force heal, its no issue.

 

Second, depending on how high the platform is, you 'might' be able to mindtrick an enemy, stand on his head, then try to jump. Kind of a long shot.

 

Lastly, there are two ways to squeeze just a 'lil' bit more air out of your jump, first is crouch jumping which you already mastered to get some other secret levels. Second is to hold down the movement button when you jump, release it in the air, and hold it down again.

 

Oh, and strafe jumping, but thats more of an exploit and unlikely required to solve the puzzle.

I finally managed to get to the cave where the last secret is! But I didn't make the jump, though... Turns out the problem was that, in order to get de AT-ST trough, I had destroyed the rocks you need to climb on to get to it!!! Duhhhh...
