lukehwong
why is the refresh rate sooo low? a mere 60Hz...playting on long hours will cause a headache!!
mInk3nine
it all depends on what resolution you're running in and what your moniter and video card are capable of. Standard 17" moniters have a max refresh of 75hz in 1024x768. But if you're using an older video card your only choice might be 1024x768@60Hz. Danz
try this link or look for this nifty little prog on other download servers: http://www.xp-faq.com/nvrefreshtool/ the name of the program is nvrtool_076b.exe or if you give me your e-mail I could send it to you, it's tiny (127 kb). Oh, and by the way, mInk3nine, standard refresh for 17" monitors at 1024x768 is around 100Hz in games and 85Hz in windows. You should brush up on your hardware knowledge. The refresh depends solely on the application and on the video card, NOT the monitor (unless you are using some prehistoric model manufactured before I was even born). I have a 17" Panasonic PL70, which I bought in 1998 (four years old mind you) and I get 120Hz at 1024x768. So there. Regards.
