Bot Trouble

Ok. I downloaded the Anakin Ep2 Skin (excellent work) but there was no bot suppost. No problem. I unzipped the film and added the botfiles from the Obi Wan Ep2 skin and just edited the jkb (>) files and the .bot file

 

Well it works as a bot only the skin is that of Kyle. All the quotes and behaeviour patterns work.

 

Any suggestions, short of extracting the assets0.pk3 file.

Alright, I had the same problem as you. Here is how you fix it.

 

The Anakin skin, depending on who you dl'd it from, is not model_default.skin.

 

couple of things to check:

 

1) Am I linking to the right model in botfiles.txt?

 

AND

 

2) Is the skin I want to use model_default.skin?

 

If the answer to both questions is yes, then I dunno man. I got it to work for me, and now I have a Dooku bot and an Anakin bot. So fun to watch them fight.

I had exactly the same problem myself. In this case, it's that you need BOTH a "model_default.skin" and a "model_default_anakin.skin" file (or whatever the name is, in other cases) in there to use it as a skin AND a bot. Just make a copy of whichever one you do have, rename it, and add it in. If you have all of the other bot stuff in order, it should work.

You don't need the default_anakin.skin file unless the folder is a generic folder. As long as Anakin has his own folder, all you need is default.skin
