number 1) include an sp model in your pk3. you can replace the existing model names and it will work great.

 

number 2) this might require some scripting, might wanna wait till the scripting tools come out.

You could change the Rebel models to Stormtroopers, and Stormtroopers to rebels so it looks like they are on your side, and do the same with the Shadowtroopers and Reborn with the Jedi, and that should work.

Changing models means they still have the same weapons so the rebel forces will have stormtrooper weapons. You might want to try assigning teams via JK2Radiant / GtkRadiant.

To change the team, just use one of the following console commands:

 

playerteam player

playerteam enemy

playerteam neutral (better don't use, some enemies will attack you and others won't)

i dont think u can make console commands from a script but u can make an autoexec.cfg file that binds the saber key to one of those commands as well as the saber so that when u select the saber it will run the playerteam enemy command as well

just curious cuz in part of my ideas for my little mod i might start after i've completed the rave house, i wanna use some of this stuff. so maybe once the scripting tools come out (NOW RAVEN NOW!!!) i can get some stuff started. lataz....

Sorry, maybe I was to hasty to post "yes". What exactly do you want script to do? Do you want to set player (Kyle) to enemy team upon spawning. Is that it? If so, then yes, it's possible. I think *cough*. Must test it.

 

Or you wanna be able to enter console commands thru scripts? That's possible too.

 

EDIT:

 

yep, tested it and it works only with one nasty side effect you can't kill stormtroopers and all other npcs who are on enemy side. They somehow became invincible.

Who? Stormtroopers? No, they see you as friendly and even greet you (I think). Only you can't kill them.

Test for yourself. Get the file (Shift+click on it to download) and put it into base dir.

Create target_scriptrunner. Set its usescript to common/kylebad.

 

Target your info_player_start at it.

i was just playin around with it a bit.... in the regular sp maps... this could be reallllyyy reallly helpful for my mod idea

In EF this was done by SET_CON_COMMAND but so far I wasn't able to get it to work in JK2. :( Maybe they removed this command altogether. We have to wait til the tools are realeased.
