jaybz
I'm making my first map and I was wondering why walking made weird water splashing sounds instead of the footsteps. I never placed any water on my level. What did I do wrong?
InfErnO
That sound is caused by some textures for some reason. It's annoying, I know. You could copy the texture and make it a custom one by renaming it. Or check it with the shader editor. Or just try another texture, lol. There are several textures that cause this effect though.
Grudge
It seems like Raven has replaced the 'metalsteps' sound with a water sound. In the water shaders, for example, 'surfaceparm metalsteps' is used. If you just want a texture, then use the one that looks the same, but hasn't got a white border around it or has [brackets] around the name. If there is a special effect you're after (i.e. a shader), then you'll have to make your own custom shader and remove the 'surfaceparm metalsteps' from it. // Grudge
