Darth Caedes
A little problem... You know how the lightsabers are made? Little square 'glow' .jpgs upon a 'line' .jpg.. Each of these jpg's has a black background, and thus the black is registered as INVISABLE (unless you edit the shaders) ingame. But here's where my problem starts... The quality of SinglePlayer sabers isn't very good. Instead of a nice, clear saber with no glitches (Like I have in MPlayer), I can see a faint square-like pattern going up the saber. I believe this is due to a tinting technique done to make the 'glow'... The black doesn't show up, but some of the tinting does, making a slightly visable colored square... But, Multiplayer and Singleplayer use the same .jpgs! Can someone help? I have both SP and MP on the same settings, why is MP's sabers so smooth, and SP so .. not smooth? Anyone else having this problem? -Darth Caedes- Help graciously accepted.
bar-bar mandrel
well, the only thought is that you DONT have the *exact* same settings... use the console, check: r_picmip the lower the number, the higher the quality. The higher the number (like 3), can alter the texture enough to mess up the transparencies. Might also try moving the single player config file out of the jk2 folder, and let JK2 create a new one using it's defaults.
