JK2 Radiant, Puting maps in the game?

OK i'm a bit new to the more modern editors and such. Last editing i did was for Doom. I have figured out the editor and such easy but i'm missing some information on how to put it into the game and play it? It comes out as a .map file and the manual i d/l says to put a command in when i get to the main menu to load the map BUT this is for quake3 and JK2 doesn't seem to have the same commands SOO can someone please INFORM me on what commands are to be used and how to put it in correctly. and if you have a forum or site that has more information please add that as well. I've been searching for weeks! HELP!
