Darth Webster Posted May 25, 2002 Share Posted May 25, 2002 Yeah, I'll bet you folk (Raven and general users) are getting sick of n00bs posting "wouldn't it be cool if..."" and "why don't you...?" all over the place. That said, let me through my hat into the ring So here's a couple off-the-top-o-me-head; *Remember the character classes that were added to the original JediKinght? Bounty Hunter, Trooper, and Scout, as well as Jedi? Well, if it's done the same again, I'll bet folk will just eat it up. * Multi-player story driven play! An entire expantion could be based around a story and alow buddies to play together! *Objective based multi-player games. Set up Aliance vs Reminant missions where opposing sides have combat base objectives (ie, storm/defend a base, capture and board a ship, or free prisioners). * Vehicles. Put an AT-ST or 2 on the battle field! Speeder bikes? How 'bout one of them there hovery-thingies with a heavy blaster mount on the back? Ok, that's enough spam from me (for now). I FULLY agree that vehicles should be all over the place (aw well as new maps to compliment them). Imagine big ctf wars with walkers and everything. INCLUDING TURRETS!!! Why? Why not? All this stuff is already in the game. I think there should be a system for vehicle/turret respawning as well (if they are implemented im confident in raven to make a good system). How did classes work in Jedi Knight 1? I never played it so I dunno. I am especially intrested in bounty hunter though Also how would classes work if Jedi is it's own class??? Wouldn't everyone want to be jedi then? And finally, this will probably only work well if they/re official or at least officialy supported. Each Class had advantages and disadvantages, including (on some) force defence (dampened the effects of force powers used against the player). Servers where split into "ranked Jedi" (much the same as the way servers work in JK2) and "class Characters" (where you could use your various characters. Jedi class characters all had a rank of Jedi Knight). Here's a list of the classes and abilities that I can remeber; Jedi: Average speed and health, spawn with lightsaber and light pistol only, can assign force powers Trooper: slower movment, improved health (150 if I remeber right), spawn with stormtrooper rifle thermal detonators and imperial repeater, improved ammo capacity, high force defence. Scout: faster movment, lower health (75, I think), spawn with stormtrooper rilfe sniper scope, level 2 force jump and speed, some force defence. Bounty Hunter: Average speed, improved health (125), spawn with carbonite gun (freeze opponents) light pistol and flash bombs, level 1 force jump, medium force defence. As for why vehicles weren't included for multi-player in the current incarnation of JK, I totaly understand.
