error for sp map

When I try to play a self-created sp map I get this error:

 

"error: couldn't find spawn point"

 

or something like that.

 

What's wrong? And what can I do about it?

Add a spawn point?

 

SP maps require an "info_player_start" entity to be laid to tell the engine where the player should be placed at the start of the map.

Are you sure the spawn point is in open space? i.e. are you 100% sure it's not stuck in a floor or wall even a little bit?
