You can get a GLM import Export for it here! http://jedidreams.codealliance.ca/jk2util.shtml You have to watch the names of your groups. I would suggest importing a GLM from JK2 and making notes of all the different groups. You will have to name your groups the exact same for it to work properly. You can't export to GLA so no animation support as of yet. But you can chage the models around using that plugin. Also if you do use the plug-in be sure t0 thank the author, he did a sweet job. MilkShape can be found here---->http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ it's a free for 30 days (fully functional) then if you want to buy it it is only $20. for a newbie program it offers alot! ALIEN_JL
Yes i have checked that GLM importer but... 1. When i import some model to milkshape there seems to be no skeleton... 2. There seems to be no skin/texture data... Anyway are you saying that i can edit those models but currently there are no way to export them back to JK2 ??? Klorel
i've been wondering the same thing, i am doing a mace windu but cant get it back into jedi outcast. i dont want to close the program in fear of loosing data from the origional import... it looks cool but if i cant export it will all be for nothing: i think a lot of modelers are haveing this problem, hopefully someone out there knows what to do or is making a .glm exporter? spacermonkey
my tutorial explains what u need to do, you can use max 3 - but you will need to find an xsi exporter for it.
ALIEN_JL
3D-Modelling have been one of my hobbies for about 6 years now but i haven't used 3DSMax much (i prefer NURBS before polygons... and i have used program called Rhinoceros and nowadays also MAYA and i am modeller not animation specialist) Yes i have XSI exporter for MAX 3 but anyway things seems a bit too complicated.... (at least with my current schedule/ motivation)
Quite Jedi
You must try milkshape and thier tutorials!!! They really make it a hell of a lot easier, for me anyway.
Angry Sandwich
dnalor, what you want to do is explained here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56095 I've switched models in the SP game with skins I've downloaded for Multiplay. I've replaced tavion with Lady Maul, Kyle with Han Solo, etc. It may seem difficult at first (it was for me) but its really quite easy. Check out the link. The Chimera
Hey, would there be, by chance, a downloadable version of 3DSMax?? I have ideas for models, but NO PROGRAMS TO MAKE THEM WITH!
Quite Jedi
Go to http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ms3d/download.html and download milkshape, and get hold of the "reg code" *hint* Then goto http://www.joshonen.ch.vu for a fully described (with pics) tutorial.
