VisionCIA Posted May 26, 2002 Share Posted May 26, 2002 Ok, I just aded a light with radius 1500, it lights the map, but it looks like ****, now I read some Q3 tuts, and they talk about texture lightning, unfortunatelly I don't seem to be able to find textures like this (well very few and not good ones lol) and don't find any at all for an entire wall .. anyone an idea how I can add a nice light to a big hangar ? volrathxp Posted May 26, 2002 Share Posted May 26, 2002 well for one your light was 1500 watts powerful so um yeah it would be bright. yes the numbers are directly equivalent to watts. the default 300 is 300 watts. texture lighting is done by shaders. for what you were wanting to do you'd have to create a shader for your wall texture. in radiant, shaders are outlined by a white line in the texture window. this indicates they are shaders. creating a shader yourself can be rather difficult and i'm having trouble with it myself. hope i helped. volrath Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
