Terrains...arggh!!!!

has anybody managed to compile a terrain yet without any compile errors? i have spent all weekend trying to get one to work using easygen but to no success, i get the error :

 

failed to load xxx.pcx as a valid 8/32 bit image

 

everything is ok tho, as it compiles fine with q3map and for rtcw

 

if anyone did get one to work can u give me some tips? and maybe the dimensions of the terrain and size of the pcx image

Hi

 

I managed to get a terrain into my level by doing the following

 

Load up the terrain map in radient.

 

Now select the terrain and ungroup it, be careful not to deselect:D

Texture it with the "caulk" texture and then group it again.

Try loading the map now and it SHOULD work:D

 

After youve done that you should be able to texture it any way you want but i havent figured out how to use the texturering from easygen:(

Edit: btw i should mention i havent tried a fullvis yet only a novis nolight and it seemed to worked okay in that:)
