Episode 2 AOTC

Alot of people have been coming in here flaming the movie, discussing its flaws and imperfections, and they are entitled to their own opinion but I personally thought that AOTC kicked ass! As a film student (and a die hard fan of Star Wars) I noticed some of the great uses of technology, lighting etc. and would just like to say it was a VERY well made movie. I think we should be in here discussing some of the badass scenes like the yoda fight scene and the anakin vs dooku battle which has some of the most dramatic lighting and music ive seen instead of its flaws.......

Ash! I completely agree! I'm going to go take film when I go to college in the next year or two (need to build up some money to pay for it), and so I've been paying a great deal of attention to the subtleties of directing... Lucas is indeed a genius! I always knew he could direct better battles than Peter Jackson, but I couldn't imagine him topping Jackson in every other aspect after Phantom Menace... blast it, he did it! He's now my favorite director! His actors had nothing to work with, 99% of the sets were just in his head... the camera angles to capture things that didn't even exist at that time... the man has the most amazing imagination!

My favorite scene in the movie, I think, is when Palpatine is overseeing the Clones departing for war... the lighting, blood red... reminds me of the burning of Atlanta in Gone With the Wind, but on a much larger scale. It's all so incredible! Lucas is THE director of the new age of film!

i also agree. i grew up with star wars... and to me this is THE best of all 5 so far. the other ones didnt really portray this grand scheme of things like ep 2 did, the wide variety of places visited and the mass combat only seen in space fighter battles in previous ones( my god the space combat sucked in ep 1)

yoda commanding the troops and the whole battle was definitly my favorite scene.. but thats hard to say because the whole movie was great.

Im glad people agree with my way of thinking. Its such a good movie definatly my fav of the trilogy. My personal favorite scene is only like 10 seconds long, its when Obi-Wan throws Anakin his saber and Anakin starts dueling with 2 sabers!!! WooooWeeee George if your reading this MORE DUEL SABER FIGHTING IN EPISODE III !!!
