Saitek X45 Joystick problems

I am having problems using my Saitek X45 HOTAS in JKII. It appears that not only is the pitch and rotation of the character controlled by the Y and X axises, they are also controlled by the Rotary knob 1 and Rotary knob 2 axises on my throttle. This makes it impossible to control the character and play the game with the stick.

 

I haven't had any problems with my stick in any other games. I used it in JK I and it worked great which is why I am very disappointed that I can't get it to work in this game.

 

Also, not to sound like a person who likes to complain but how can you have a tech support forum with NO search function. That is absolutely, positively idiotic. This is Lucas Arts. Do it right or get someone who can.
