Mirror?

I have no clue. I recently played a new sp map and there was a mirror on the side of the wall. Go here:

Maybe you can contact that guy and he could help you. If you look at screenshot #7, you can see the mirror that I'm talking about. As I said, I have no clue. I'm not sure if that mirror is different than the reflective surface on the graound that you are talking about. Just trying to help ya out though.:D

number 1: create a brush on the wall

 

number 2: cover it with a mirror surface.

 

number 3: create a misc_portal_surface entity and place it NO MORE than 64 units away from the brush.

 

number 4: create a border around the mirror. if you don't it can cause a HOM effect sometimes.

Yeah, but that mirror has a different shine-texture than the usual, but that's not much to change, just look at your test.shader for the mirror2 and then copy/paste it into a new shader, rename the textures to ones you like and there you go (oh yeah, add it to the shaderlist too)
