GCrusher23
Everytime I try to compile a map, it runs SOF2MAP and gives me an illegal operation. Anyone know how to fix this?
GCrusher23
Someone told me it could be that my maps are in a wrong directory. Could that be it?
Xcom
Illegal Operations are mostly Windows related stuff. Personally, I have never experienced it with compilers(*knocks on wood*). Maps in the wrong directory you say- doubt it. You would simply get an error saying, cannot open blah blah. Just in case, they should be in base/maps. If you are using JK2Radiant you might wanna download GTK radiant. I heard some ppl saying that the problem was gone in GTK. Just curious, but does this happen with every map or just one particular one and what kind of map is it? Also, during what compiling stage does this happen? (bsp, vis, light)
GCrusher23
It happens on every map, and it happens at every stage. When it says BSP, the illegal operation appears. Then I say ok, and it goes to the next step with another illegal operation.
GCrusher23
Well, it was a path error. I was saving my maps in another directory than the base folder. thanks for the help.
