JediGhost[SITH] Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 I've heard from a few people that hosting a dedicated server will "write to your memory". I'm not a hardware type of person, but in other words: Is this game (mainly dedicated server) writing to something on my computer that I should empty/clear every few days? Just like the internet temp folder. Im asking because my computer just "died", more specifically I had to pay $167 to replace my CPU. I'm not sure what caused it, me leaving it on too much, or my JK2 dedicated. Or a combination of both. I'd like to continue hosting my server when I fix my computer, of course shutting it off more, but if JK2 Ded server has any influence on it, is there anything I can do to stop it?
