WTF happened to Naboo?

Naboo, like Qui Gon Jinn, is just further evidence that much of the prequel trilogy George just made up as he went along, and wasn't all fleshed out in advance before ANH was filmed as some used to think.

Sure he could go and re-edit the classic trilogy to mention all the stuff in the prequels we never heard of before, and EU authors would fill in the "gaps" and write books for all the prequel characters (they were doing this even as TPM was hitting theatres). Personally, I hope when the classic trilogy comes to DVD we can still watch the "original version" (cleaned up visually of course) of each film, in addition to the souped-up, more CGI added versions we'll have by 2005-7.

I think that naboo will become war-torn when Padme dies and Paplatine sends in his troops and kill everyone to make the fat senetors of the Replubic relize his power!

Ps: the death star's first kill was the wookie colony planet were it was built

Well, Naboo isnt mentioned the same reason Geonosis and Kamino arent. They all have funny lookin aliens there that George LUcas couldnt afford to make at the time.

Actually, the three Zahn novels that comprise the so-called "Thrawn Saga" (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command) are part of the canon. They are the only novels of the EU that are. Zahn had Lucas' approval and blessing (and, I'm sure, gaze over his shoulder) to write a continuation of the events directly following ROTJ. I know that this was stated either in the books themselves or in a press release by the bookstores when they first came out. And Coruscant was never mentioned in ANH. The first time it was mentioned was in the Zahn novels. The fact that it was then integrated into the movies serves to prove that that series of novels is a part of the official Star Wars universe.

And as for Naboo being an important system because of Palpatine, Bill Clinton being president didn't do too much for Arkansas' stock, did it?

Actually Lucas told Zahn to use Coruscant, he gave him a few choices on the name, but it was from Lucas. Also, read the Heir to the Empire trilogy, and then go watch AotC, you'll note that the book can't be official because it goes against the movies.
