Outatime
I want to know if there's a way to change the background music played when you enter a different room in Multiplayer? For example, say you've got your music playing and you go through a door into a different room and you then have different music playing. Anyone know how this is done? RichDiesal
Can't really trigger things by doorway in MP, I don't think. I would suggest just putting target_speakers with looped-on set inside the area that you want to have special music.
Outatime
I'm already running background music though. I don't want both to be played at the same time/over each other. Maybe someway to create a trigger to walk through that does it?
RichDiesal
Well see, that's the problem. In SP games, there is a target_play_music that you can use for that exact effect... In MP howerver, it's a bit more complex... for example, if someone died in any area with one type of music and spawned in an area with another, how would the engine know what to play? It would cause all sorts of weirdnesses... and I think for that reason, there is no target_play_music in MP.
Xcom
Don't be too carried away with music in a MP map. Some ppl have alreadt expressed concerns about this.
Outatime
Don't worry I'm not going to get carried away. Trust me, it's all in good taste. Thanks for your suggestions. But to answer your question RichDiesal, just place the spawn within a trigger brush with the "music, mp3" value. Theoretically, that should work, but there's no stupid trigger brush in mp. I might ask raven what can be done.
