The_Mormegil
Probably not the correct spelling but everyone should know what i mean. Dark city maps, bigger and better sil vous plait... Warring Factions and ns city streets are my 2 fave maps but I'm bored and i need a new map to call home so one simlilar to warring factions except with twice the hieght and plenty of camping spots will do. JeGGoR
Yeah... Yeah... I'm working on Coruscant AND Nar Shaddaa. But as I already said in a previous post, I'm still in the texture preparation phase. I like NS City streets too, but I prefered the good old NS maps from Jedi Knight:DF2, I'll try to stick to their feeling... About the height, I'll see... Of course it's fun to have high maps but this can reduce fps if you can see too much from above. The most important in NS, is to have falling death everywhere ;o) And about the camping spots, arg Of course I'll make some... but not too much, as I hate being sniped
The_Mormegil
I can understand about the bigger maps causing low fps the duel of the fates map was good but I dont play it simply because of the performance hit Glad to hear that someone is making some city maps though, but i never saw the previous versions of jk so i don't know if the old maps are better or not, I'll take your word for it. one thing about the maps in this game especially ffa_bespin is that there are impassable areas, like some buildings would be physically possible to get on top of but for some reaon there is a big transparent wall stopping u. This is really sucky, on bespin you should be able to fight and fall off of every edge. If somone could free up bespin and get rid of all the impassable areas im sure it would be one of the most popular maps of all time. I'm a big fan of exploring these maps and finding secrets, camping spots etc. I have a few techniques that mean i can literally jump to the ceiling of a map without cheats but i dont like getting there and finding nowhere to land Oh well make some good maps ( is it easy?) JeGGoR
Arf... Bad Boy de Marseille Perhaps do you speak french but I'll stick to english, as we're in a public forum. Like you, I strongly disliked the invisible walls of ffa_bespin... but sadly, we haven't the source file of this map so we can't modify it. The only possible thing would be to recreate it from scratch, but that's not worth...
The_Mormegil
my girl friend is marseillaise but I don't speak much french just swear words. It's a shame about the source code for bespin. It would be so good to get on that main brown building or to throw people from any of the edges. Like i say its a shame but c'est la vie eh? maybe go for a bespin map in the future. Is it hard to map?
RichDiesal
Eh, oui parfois. Généralement, non. (WOO, four years of high school French )
JeGGoR
Mapping is not very difficult, but you'll have to spend several days to learn and practice (of course ) After that, with the most common techniques, you can already make a lot of nice maps Et quatre années de français à l'Université c'est déjà très bien
