DividedByZero
I've always been able to select a .md3, go to the selection menu, and rotate it. But now for some reason I can't. Nothing happens when I click the rotate menu choice (selection: rotate: rotate z,x,y,arbitrary) none of them worked on a bespin bench. Then a weird thing happens, why I tried to rotate a bespin chair on the z axis, it moved down, then the y and x rotate options made it go forward a bit, then back up to it's normal positions. WTF is going on? I need to be able to rotate models.
Redvan
I can't get it to work either, weird stuff, hope someone knows.
Graphicsgod
Use the rotate tool!! It's located between the "Clip" and the "free scaling" button. If you clicked the right button, your model or brush should be purple. Or you can goto "Selection" then "Rotate". Enjoy!
DividedByZero
If you'll read my post... the rotate thing in the menu doesn't work.
brigand1138
select the model - press the 'N' key - on the bottom left of the entity window you will see buttons with angles (90 degrees, 360 degrees etc) click the angle you want the model to face Hope that makes sense Mal Brigand
G5_Wrath
did it work zero? i'd like to know this too
DividedByZero
I'd already tried the entity rotate thing. This pisses me off because I can rotate in other maps, and I was able to do it earlier on in the making of this map, but now it's messed up. Freaking weird. I'll fool around w/ it a bit more. RichDiesal
So what does it do when you set the angle in the entity window (not the free rotation tool)? Nothing?
DividedByZero
Yup, it doesn't move.
RichDiesal
And you have it set so that you can see rendered models in the editor?
volrathxp
NEVER EVER EVER USE THE ROTATE TOOL FOR A MISC_MODEL!!!!! You've just effectively screwed up that model. You always use the entity rotation in the entity list to do rotation on any entities, including misc_model. Try replacing your model, delete it and reimport it and then try to rotate it using the entity rotation tool... make sure you have entities turned to view as skinned and boxed. this helps out a lot. hope it works for ya! volrath
RichDiesal
Well the model itself isn't screwed up, just the reference to it... and I assume he has been deleting the misc_model each time he has tried to reposition it... I mean really, that's the first thing anyone would do.
DividedByZero
Ok, now for some reason I can use the entity thing to change the angle, but I used to be able to just rotate it.
