obi
I've seen odder questions in my day. The person Darth Vader is fighting is A jedi named Opi'L Tell, who was born on Correlia. (spelling?) He was one of the many jedi Vader slew after falling to the dark side. He was one of the last, and one of the most powerful, almost to the point where he would be on the council. He is approximately 48 years old, but he can still woop tale. Vader gets him in the end, though. grinnin guy says hello.

Vestril
It's either Luke Skywalker (or Starkiller, depending on when it was drawn) or Obi-Wan Kenobi, I'm not really sure. When Ralph MacQuarrie did the original art for SW, he put DV in the mask and suit because he thought Vader would need it to cross between the two ships (the Star Destroyer and the Blockade Runner from the beginning of ANH), I'm guessing he decided to put Luke or Obi in one for a similar reason... That's who it is, anyway, most likely Luke, possibly Obi-Wan.

Jedi_Monk
How different it would have been if Vader only had his mask on for a spacewalk... man, I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of those really early drafts of The Star Wars!

Actually I just think it was the artists interpretation, he read the script and thought: oh, he has to go from ship to ship, he'll need a protective suit. Pretty clever I think... I don't remember where I heard that, might have been the Ep I DVD, or it might have been one of my Ralph McQuarrie searches (I love that guys art...)
