DaZe
First Question: What are the entity settings for adding natural lighting to an entire map? I though it was ambiance=xxx or something of the sort.. Can anyone clarify this for me? Second Question: Is there a way to make a model follow path corners? Or is this only for brushes? I imagine this is not possible, but would like to know for sure. (How awesome would it be to have Tie fighters and X-Wings flying over head in a night map!) The Streets level in MP has that ship that flies across the top of the map....I assumed that this was manuall created with brushed vs. being a model.. Third Question: Can someone point me to a link that explains how to use the func_train and path corners to make object move, as well as a laymens explenation of how to make a skybox? Fourth Question: Is it possible to make an hollow Oval (like an Arena) brush that you could subtract sections from? **please no flaming about subtract...I know the affects, and I use it very sparingly, but some times it just makes sense.** Thanks in advance!!! Eagle_e7
Hi First question: The command is KEY: ambient Style: (light value) 300 i think is daylight second question: Check out this link for the answer http://www.lucasforums.com/showthre...&threadid=56610 Third question: Check out this link for a good tutorial http://planetquake.com/bubba/train1.html Forth question: Not entierly sure sure but maybe you could try using the "thicken" command this will make shapes like cylinders and cones solid but im not sure wether or not you can subtract from them. Hope this helps:D

DaZe
Very Cool..Thanks So in theory (I am at work and cannot test this theory ) I could create a big square, and using arbitrary sides I could make it round. I could then create another one a bit smaller, place it inside the other and subtract to get a hollowed arena...? I could then Subtract doors or whatever from the retaining wall...? I'm sure this would be murder on framerates but it's worth a try. If anyone knows a better way of doing this, do tell! I'll check those links now for the other info... Thanks again! Eagle_e7
another way to get a circle arena is to create a cylinder using curve, cylinder and then after it's selected press ctrl+I to invert the walls, the only downside to this method is that you ccannot subtract from the walls. Also after you've created an abitrary sided circle, select the circle and use the hollow command to make the inside hollow.
