How do you get droid into poison room?

There's a room that has a poison gas. You run in to get the security key off the dead officer and that opens up a glass enclosed room. In that room, you gain control over a floor droid. Droid-cam view and all. However, I haven't be able to get back into the poison room which I assume is what the floor droid is for and it's to do something in there. What I don't know and please don't tell me. What I'd like to know is just how to get the droid into that room. I've sent it to its little door into the room and the door won't open. I've pressed every key on my keyboard and nothing. What am I do to?

there should be a little droid connecter port thingy that R2 always connects to in the movies down by the little door, use it while as the mouse droid.
