An ICQ # is simply your identity, one of the ways another user can add you to his/her list is by know your #. It saves them the time of filtering through searches on the persons name since you already know THE NUMBER. Its not what your nickname will be but its the number your icq account will always be unless you get another account or download a newer version w/o remember your old #.
