Ive tried everything, I got that beam to come down and I jumped through it and I got surrounded by fireflies, and I use force speed and everything but I always DIE!!! The simplest way to kill Desann is to lure him into a corner and then hit the column until it collapses, bringing the roof down on top of him. You remember, Desann is much more competent in lightsabre swordplay, than a former Imperial officer, then a rebel, and only lately - Jedi (again) Kyle. Still? there is a way to beat him witl lightsabre. 1. Make sure to saturate the place with small immobile sentry guns - it'll tickle him a bit. Also that small spheres (the ones who fly around and protect you) help a bit. 2. DO NOT ATTACK HIM. His counter attacks are usually lethal 3. Wait him to throw his sabre at you, Force speed and cut him. btw, Strong style is hard, but extremely efficient. This case included. Gd luck.
