Guest Datoyminaytah
Is there any way to play JK/MotS in cooperative multiplayer mode?
Guest Kurgan
Yes, you can download and play several COOP mods that exist. They work best over a very fast connection or a LAN however. You can also play them singley (but they are much harder). Theft on Nar Shaddaa Chaos For 2 Ghostbusters TC Spook Preview Yes, even the GB TC preview had coop built in. These can all be found (if I remember correctly) over at www.massassi.net . Alternately you can try downloading them from these links: http://www.jediknight.net/jkmag/bfp2x/chaosfor2.zip http://www.jediknight.net/jkmag/bfp2x/spookdemocoop.zip http://www.jediknight.net/jkmag/bfp2x/theif.zip Enjoy! Guest Datoyminaytah
Thanks, I'll check those out, but what I meant was, is there a way to play the original levels in coop mode? I assume since I haven't found much info on this that it must be impossible, or at least very difficult, or someone would have done it already. I haven't done any JK mods yet, but I have worked with other games. What are the problems with this? Is there something in the levels themselves that can't be altered to support coop? I was hoping it would just be a matter of creating a code mod that would use the original levels.
Guest Kurgan
It could be done yes.. and it would probably take a lot of work. Someone could, in theory, convert some SP levels from JK into MP coop maps. Heck, many of the levels have been converted, but the AI, respawns, etc have not been modified for multiplayer. Some levels are more difficult because of various scripted events, etc. So it isn't simply a matter of writing one or two cogs and slapping them in there.
