Grabes
Hello all, I recently bought Microsofts IntelliMouse Explorer, 3.0 version, ya know the one with the optical laser? Well anyway it has 5 buttons on it, and ive mapped the 2 buttons on the side for force powers. Yet when i use them, it brings up the nightvision gogles sometimes, and it always make my lightsaber throw. This happens in both the single player, and multiplayer parts. Is there a setting or somthing that i can d/l to fix this? It is very annoying to do pull or push, and then have the saber throw once u depress the button. For your information, neither mouse 4, or mouse 5 are mapped for secon attack. Thanks for any ideas.
NightFallMyriad
I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND EVERYONE IGNORES ME!!! :swear: In multiplayer, it's even worse for me. Instead of push or pull I get taunt. You have no idea how stupid I feel when I want to push someone away from me as they try to DFA and then wind up dying with a confused hand stuck out in jest. People think its the funniest thing in the world that they kill me cuz I taunt. I"M NOT TAUNTING I'M TRYING TO F*CKING THROW YOU OFF A LEDGE. :swear: If anyone knows how to fix this, please say something for God's sake. /end rant
faithless
quake3 does not recognise the mouse4 and mouse5 buttons for microshaft explorer. here's a fix. download the latest driver for intellimouse then specify that when playing jedi knight, use another config rather than the default. *yes u can do that* example. change mouse4 to f5 or something rather than the default action of forward and mouse 5 to backspace or something. preferbly a key not commonly used on ur keyboard so u don't press it accidentally. goorooloo
Yes, make sure you have the latest drivers BUT.... Check to see what you have bound to your ALT key(s). For some reason the 1.03 patch screwed something up so that the Back/Forward function of the mouse4/5 buttons, (which are actually Alt+< and Alt+> ), are received as separate keystrokes. So if you have Mindtrick set to Alt (for eg.) and jump as mouse4/5 eveytime you hit jump you also use mindtrick. You can either A) Unbind Alt and don't use it for anything, (or bind it to something fun like "\model protocol" so when you have no shields you'll start spouting "oh dear") OR B) change your mouse4/5 button functions to something like PgUp/PgDn and then rebind them. Hopefully they'll fix this next patch.
Methedrine
I have the same mouse but no problems. First off, get the latest drivers from microsoft.com. Second, once you have installed the new drivers, try this... Think of your 5 button Intellimouse Explorer as having 7 buttons. Sounds daft but stick with me here. LMB=Primary fire RMB=Secondary fire MWHEELUP=Next force power MWHEELDOWN=Previous force power MBUTTON3 (press the wheel)=Fast, medium or strong style (keyboard L) MBUTTON4 (large button on left of mouse)=Use force power (keyboard F) MBUTTON5 (small button on left of mouse)=weapon 1 (keyboard 1) It works for me. I hope it works for you too. Best of luck guys. FYI, if you want to use force grip or force lightning, YOU MUST use the F6 and F7 keys to sustain the attack.
