The Truthful Liar
Snoopy4eva welcome to the jk2.net forums, I hope you enjoy your stay!! Please accept this "jk2.net welcome basket" filled with endless ammounts of goodies which you can snack on while browsing our forums!! :D Well there are numerous ammounts of programs that you can use for creating new models, it's really up to you wether you want to pay for one or not. Free programs (or demo... whichever): Gmax and MilkShape3d Not Free but.. good: 3dStudio Max Maya If you want to start with just skinning at first (which is good practice before you go into making completely new saber models) the best program to use is Adobe Photoshop (or Paint Shop Pro 7 is good I hear). There are lots of tutorials to be found in regards to Skinning (just adding new textures to the original saber models) and Modelling. You can visit here and here I'm sure you'll find something Cheers P.S. Please note that there's a difference between SKINS and MODELS - models are NEWLY Created 3d objects and Skins are only new textures ON TOP of a model
