Adarin
I know I saw something on it somewhere, but, some shaders are making water noises. I've added clips and such so that the player can't touch the shaders that make the water noise, but, somehow they still manage to make the water sound. So, my question is, how would I go about taking the water sound out of the textures?
RichDiesal
Simple advice... rebuild your map so you don't walk on any shaders. If you really want to be able to walk on the shader, you'll need to create a new shader yourself and remove the surfaceparm called "watersteps" or "metalsteps" or something like that. But that's needlessly complicated when you shouldn't be walking on shaders in the first place.
The Truthful Liar
No? What's wrong with walking on some shaders? (custom made textures that is, and without the water parm in a custom shader)
Adarin
Only thing is, I'm not walking on shaders. If you rub up against them, it makes water noises. I'll give ya a nice example. The new Hoth Jedi Academy level on JediOutcastMaps.com, there's a railing using the blue light texture in http://www.jedioutcastmaps.com/core/291/b13.jpg that screenshot, and, if you rub up against it, it makes water noises. Same thing in my level. I have walls and such that use shaders to make it pretty, and, if I run too close to it, I hear "Swish Swish" and, well, that's not quite what I want. But. I guess I'll have to deal with the custom shader thing. Thanks!
