andee_dean Posted June 18, 2002 Share Posted June 18, 2002 Okay, I am pulling my hair out now, i have been working on this skin of mine for about 2 days now. I am trying to edit the JediTrainer skin. So i unzip Assets0.pk3. Grab the models dir, players, jeditrainer. Unzip that all. Take the skin face(the only one i want to edit) and so i edit it with Photoshop. all honkie dorry. Save it back under the same name under the same folder(havent changed anything in the folder, such as the .skin files only edited the one face jpg mind you) and then i open up modview..open skin. "JPEG read error: requested feature was not omitted at file time" then it just leaves me stuck at the begining once again. But it will show up if i turn the face file into a targa. Heres what i am doing, step by step. 1:Unzip the models/players/jeditrainer from assets0.pk3. 2: Opening models/players/jeditrainer folder. 3:Taking the trainer_face.jpg and using photoshop to edit it. 4:saving under a .jpg format with the same name, overwritting the existing one. 5:Trying to run ModView to preview my work.
