Multiplayer FREEZES when i click play game

CRIKEY!!! I bought Jedi Knight II, and used the wickedgl fix for my voodoo3 card and have been enjoying single player. BUT when I go into multiplayer I can look at the rules, and setup my player and all that madness, but when I go to play and click on Join Server then it just freezes and I gotta click the OFF button (no ctrl+alt+del).

 

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
