Installation Problems

Hello,

 

I bought JK2 and attempted to install it. At 15%, it stopped, so I canceled the installation, thinking I could just do it again. But now, the auotrun won't work. I also tried copying the files to my hard drive, which also didn't work. Any help would be appreciated, I'm desperate

I was having a similar problem only mine was locking up at 0%. If you are hooked up to the internet via DSL or Cable modem disconnect them or turn them off. Secondly turn off every system program you have running including virus scan, firewall, everything. Then try installing. If it still hangs walk away for about 30 minutes or so then come back and see if it installed. This worked for me. Also you may want to delete anything that was put in place from a previous installation attempt. Including the info that is placed in an install shield folder in your program files folder. Hope this helps.

Mine is an installation problem.... but not the same. My problem is that I go to install it... choose automatic and things.... then i start to install it stops on 8% and says"Not enough space on the disk". So I ask my friend... he says clear up some of your harddrive... I have a very small harddrive of 7 gigs (please don't laugh) . When i tried to install it the first time it had less than 2 gigs free. I cleared it up to where more than 2 gigs were free, I tried to install it again.... now it goes to 88% then says the same thing. I tried it once more just now and It still does it. Any help could be nice.

Your harddrive is most likely lying to you, I had a similar problem with a 20 gig harddrive, it said I had 3 gigs free and I really only had about 800 MB, the problem was fixed upon reformatting, the only thing I can suggest besides reformatting is to Clear up well over 2 gigs... get rid of anything you dont need... Im sure you will then have enough.
